Baadhis: Internet Check

Baadhis helps household members, friends, and neighbours investigate an internet problem together. Compare evidence from two or more devices to see where the connection is most likely breaking and what to check next.

ONE SHARED INVESTIGATION

Create a short-lived room and share its eight-character code with someone you know. Each device states whether it uses the same home connection or a different connection, then runs the same focused checks. Both devices receive the same result revision.

FOLLOW THE CONNECTION PATH

Baadhis checks the layers that commonly explain a connection problem:

- This device: whether only one device shows the failure
- Home Wi-Fi or router: whether devices on the same connection agree
- Name lookup (DNS): whether sites cannot be resolved even when a path responds
- Captive portal: whether a sign-in page may be blocking access
- ISP or wider path: whether independent checks point beyond the home
- No current fault: when the available checks pass

The result is a ranked explanation, not a guarantee. Confidence reflects how much recent evidence is available and whether devices agree or contradict one another.

SEE WHY THE RESULT CHANGED

Open the evidence view to see supporting checks, contradictions, missing checks, participant freshness, and the shared revision hash. If a check times out, Baadhis keeps the evidence that arrived and lowers confidence instead of pretending the test was complete.

BUILT FOR UNSTEADY CONNECTIONS

Cached room state remains visible when the connection drops. A completed probe can wait in a bounded retry queue, and the app clearly marks queued or stale information. Foreground room refreshes let each participant converge on the same server revision and result hash.

CLEAR NEXT ACTIONS

Each result includes a safe next step, such as testing again, checking another device on the same Wi-Fi, opening a captive sign-in page, or reviewing automatic DNS settings. Baadhis does not change router or phone settings for you and does not claim to replace an internet provider's support.

DATA CONTROLS

The diagnostic payload contains fixed connection facts such as transport type, Android validation state, check success or timeout, and measured latency. It does not include your Wi-Fi name, router address, precise location, browsing history, contacts, messages, or files. Device requests are signed, room codes are rate-limited, and active rooms expire within 24 hours. If the owner leaves, the room ends and expires within two hours. The owner can erase the shared room immediately, and each device can delete its anonymous account.

Baadhis is designed for ordinary connection troubleshooting with another person you know. Results describe the most likely cause from current measurements; network conditions can change between checks.
